Yoga for all ages...

Namaste...We all know that yoga is great for all ages—from the tiniest tots to those much later in life. But for many of us, the class title Yoga for Seniors, calls to mind images of chair yoga, gentle stretching, and breathing for relaxation. 83-year-old yoga teacher Bette Calman defies all the stereotypes when it comes to seniors and yoga. She practices many advanced postures that even experienced yoga students half her age don't have the strength to hold, including this impressive Peacock Pose.

Stree and life..Life and stress

In this modern world stress has become a part of our lives. People don’t know how to overcome it or deal with it. STRESS can be subdivided into 4 categories

1. SURVIVAL STRESS: This kind of stress arises when you are in danger. This type of stress is highly beneficial to an individual .It creates a big boost in power to be able to handle the situation
Can you imagine a human having more power than a lion or tiger???YES one can..
2. INTERNAL STRESS: This type of stress is most common. It arises as a result of worry and life’s difficulties. This type of stress leads to many diseases.
3. ENVIRONMENTAL STRESS: This kind of stress arises from excessive noises, crowds as well as pressure from work and family.
4. Fatigue & over work
We strive to earn a great deal of money at the expense of our mental well being. All beings desire more money to enjoy life. This deep desire creates stress.
Mental and physical changes during stress:
*Heart beat and breathing get faster
*a lot of sweatings
*cold hand, feet or skin
*stomach uncomfortable
*Muscles get tense or tight
*mouth dry
*Nature call all the time
*head pain, fatigue

Physical and mental changes of long stress
* CHANGES in eating habits
*CHANGES in sleeping pattern
*colds, asthma & heart problem
*problem in sex life
*always tired

Remember we have to balance our life; Stress causes disease in the body. The greater the internal stress, the greater the chances of high blood pressure. As a result of an increased level of blood pressure, the sugar level in the body drops. Diabetes can result and this may also lead to heart attacks. Nervous tensions impact on outward appearance as well. A person may get age faster. So beware don’t fill your mind with unnecessary negative thoughts which increases the stress levels. You need to be equipped with special tools too deal with this stress. Off course in life we all have to face stress but don’t take the stress as life or life as stress. Do every day simple pranyama(breathing exercise),Asana(yoga postures) & meditation. According to a Japanese doctor food is not the only necessity for a long & youth full life. The mind is the main thing we have to keep it happy and balanced that is the secret of long life. Dwelling on problems will only increase or create your problems or depths of sadness. Try to look at the brighter side of things it help you to overcome your problem. Be positive

Simple things to relax from stress
**Regular practice of yoga
*see the sun setting over the water
*Hear the birds sign
*smell the pine tress
*Feel the cool water on the feet
*taste the fresh air
*sleep on time
*read some philosophical books
*share your thoughts with your friends

This kinds of kriya is very simple to fallow in our regular life .But most of us did not concentrate in this things because

Asanas on the rock

What is the form of death?

Namaste...Some peoples may think that why have to discuss about death? It have to be happen in our all human life is it?...ok let me have little positive way to approach the meaning of death.

A great yogi had explained very effectively on this. Death means new formation. The changes take place when the word death appears. When a tree die, it changes to chair or paper, when a chair dies it changes to ashes & it’s also get in the form of vapour. Science says everything in this world is living even an atom.

Our human body is made up of many chemical substances and we take this body from this earth. the all chemical substances’ is together when we live when our breath stop it all get separated but they still alive in different form .when a human die time appears he did not disappear just his form changes to another form.

Let we all enjoy the presents god's grace with you all...SIVA

About god shiva

Hariom Nama shivaya....I would like to share about the god shiva most of the peoples would ask me about him..Because he used to have snakes, moon, ganga and some other things in his body.Let me explain it
Jata (Matted Hair): The flows of his tangled hair represent Shiva as the noble of storm or Vayu, who is the slight form of breathing current in all existing beings. Therefore it is Shiva which is the support for all breathing creature. He is Pashupatinath.

Sacred Ganga:
The holiest of the holy rivers, Ganga flows starting on the tangled Hair of Shiva. According to a myth, Shiva acceptable an hole to the huge canal to cross the world and carry purify stream to person which being Ganga also denote fertility - single of the original feature of the Rudra

The Cobra Necklace:

The fatal cobra represent that “death” feature that Shiva has carefully occupied. The cobras just about his neckline too symbolize the sleeping energy, called Kundalini, the serpent control. The snake warped three times around the neckline of Lord Shiva depict the precedent, here and potential time. The snake look in the right way of Lord Shiva signify that the Lord’s perpetual laws of reason and honesty protect accepted arrange in the creation.

The Vibhuti:
Vibhuti is a three stripe of remains tired on the forehead that signify the Immortality of the spirit and evident of the beauty and manifest beauty of the Hindu Lord.
Let me say littile about it...acctualy you may see a white color stuff on the shiva head just like lined.vibhuti ash is generally the residue of cow dung that is burned in a sacred fire.

All the hindu peoples will use this for several reasons some of the reason let me give .

1.Placed on the forehead of devotees, it serves as a sectarian mark (tilaka). The practice of smearing holy ash on the forehead also exists in Zoroastrianism and Catholicism.

2.In worship connected with Lord Shiva it is a symbol of purity and is one of the main sacraments given at pūjā in all Śaivite temples and shrines.

3.The ash thus serves as a reminder to the believer to cast away selfish and worldly desires that wrap the self in maya, and calls to mind the story of how Shiva burned Kama (the god of desire) to ashes when Kama attempted to break Shiva's focus on the Divine Truth.

Tiger Skin:
Lord Shiva is exposed session on or trying a tiger crust. The tiger is the transportation of Shakti, the divinity of control and strength. Shiva is away from and higher than any variety of strength. He is the master of Shakti. The tiger skin that he wear the symbolize of conquest over each and every strength. Tiger also symbolize the desire. Thus meeting on tiger skin, Shiva indicate that he has occupied the desire.

Damaru (Drum):
A little beat through two sides divided from every extra by a slim neck-like formation which is represent the two entirely diverse state of being, uncertain and clear. Once a damaru which is Shaken, the sound created denote Nada, the space noise of AUM, which preserve be the heard through bottomless reflection.

Trishul (Trident):
A three-branched trident exposed adjacent to Lord Shiva symbolize His three basic power resolve, stroke and facts. Since a stick the trident represent the device of sentence to the evil doer resting on every one of the three plane – religious, slight and material.

Nandi, the Bull:
Nandi which is said to be the vehicle of Lord Shiva. The bull represent both power and unawareness. Lord Shiva’s. The bull symbolize together control and influence. Lord Shiva’s use of the bull as his vehicle express the proposal that He remove the lack of knowledge and bequeath control the suggestion that He remove unawareness and bequeaths control of knowledge on His group.

Let we try to understand about asana(postures) and there relations with the anatomy

Namaste…
What asana will do for you?
Most of us practice our asana with out knowing the deep connection between our body and our mind. In this article I don’t explain deeper but I wish it may be understandable.
When we understand in this way so it’s easy for us to practice when you’re not able to get practiced with yoga masters or instructors. Practicing the yoga self is not advisable because you may not know the side effects of the wrong movement of your postures.

1. A Healthy nervous system (brain & spine)
Brain:
.A healthy nervous system indeed for our most of the body and mind action in our life. Nerves from brain and spine go to every tissue in the body.
Asana or postures: Head stand asana helps to increase circulation to the brain cells. It helps to increase the power of brain

Spine:
Brain is covered by the skull bone but spine is not like the brain protective. Since nerves from the spine goes all parts of the organs and glands. A little misalignment of the spine can be corrected by the asana.

2. A Healthy Endocrine glands
The most important are the pituitary, pineal, thyroid, adrenal, pancreas and sex glands.

Location of the glands and the asanas for the glands

1. Pituitary + pineal is located in the brain. Head stand and downward asana are providing powerful effects on them.
2. Thyroid is located in the neck region. Shoulder stand asanas are helpful also some asana which expand the chest is also effective.
3. Adrenal & pancreas is located in the solar plexus. It’s an important organ which balances our stress and immunity .Twisting asana are effective. It helps to balance the sugar level in our body.
4. Sex gland is located at the Pelvic region this gland not only for the sex virility but also for sparking eyes, soft skin & warm personality. Reverse postures are effective.

The function of these glands is to secrete powerful hormones which control our growth, weight, size, Emotional state also sexual energy.

3. A Healthy internal organ
As well as having a great effects in the brain, spine and glands most of the asanas massage the internal organs. Asana helps to have a healthy digestive system, healthy joints and a healthy skin.

Asanas for the diabetes

NAmaste...
Diabetes and Yoga
Because of this fast modern world, food and the way of our life we are buying so many diseases .Diabetes is playing a major role in most of the life especially in westerners. It’s now slowly move towards Asians too.

What is diabetes?
Diabetes is a condition when the pancreas in the human body fails to produce insulin. Incidentally, insulin is the hormone that converts the sugar in the food into energy. Insufficient secretion of insulin by pancreas results in excess glucose level in the bloodstream, resulting in diabetes. The blood glucose is required to be used up to provide energy and fuel to the body, in order to do its work. If the level of glucose is high, it eventually affects the body parts. Yoga plays a great role curing the diabetes if you fallow the Yoga postures in daily way.
Note: If you ready to fallow the yoga postures which I shown you above, you have to knew that you not suffered from any back pain or neck pain or menstruation if you have any one please be patient and practice under a guidance of a good yoga teachers.

*Surya namaskar(sun salutation have not shown above)have to do 3 round
*Each and every posture should hold on minimum 20 seconds if you feel it’s harder relax and do it again
*Never strain yourself
*there are some postures which may not able to do; there are many alternate postures for that.
*for all postures you have to do relax pose. Eg:if you do the shoulder stand & plough pose you have to do fish pose or wheel pose.
*There are many postures which help but i just mentiond few.

key words for beginners of pranayama and meditation

Pranayama:

The right time to do the pranayama is during the sunrise and during the sunset hours. There are only few pranayama that have to be done in mouth (sithali, sittari etc..) rest of all should done only at the nose (pasthrika, kabalapathi, etc). After you finish pranayama in the morning you can feel the whole day is fresh and also when you back from work when you do it you may feel the softness of your mind and the body. During the practice when you feel you need to count you just do it as much you can.

Meditation:

Meditation can be done in a silence place it’s easy to get not disturbed from the external world. Music is one of the tools for meditation for the beginners you can select any soft music or mantras the music which u feel peaceful with … you can select it. No matter which time… when you feel you have time just sit and do it. But according to the yoga sutras early morning 3 -4 am is the right time which is called as brahma mukurtha in Sanskrit. But the world and timing has been faster now. So there is no wrong when you have free time you can do. Better is early morning. There are many different kinds of meditation which may done in different way what I am saying is just for the beginners and its one of the way.

a simple methods for pranayama and meditation

What is meditation?
The word meditation means the stage of empty mind.” Meditation is nothing. Nothing is meditation”. It’s very easy to give the techniques of meditation but the practice is challenging. We all know that our human mind just like a drunken monkey which never stays in one place .Seating in one place our mind can make more then 1000 thoughts in a fraction of seconds. Some peoples can’t even sleep at night almost 95% of the timing’s we spent on dreams. Then where we get the energy to face the stressful life?
Pranayama(breathing exercise) and meditation is a great boon to enter the peaceful life in this stressful world. To get deeper meditation pranayama is indeed. When you master at pranayama it’s easy to control your mind. If you don’t have much knowledge about pranayama you can select different techniques of meditation, so don’t worry about that. But according to the pantanjali the father of yoga, pranyama and then meditation which explain in the eight limbs or stages of ashtanga yoga. Let me give you few techniques of pranayama and meditation.

1. Chest breathe---In this breath concentrate your mind deeply on your chest part and have a deep inhale, during your inhalation expand your chest and slowly exhale, during your exhalation relax your chest. When you do this you may feel abdomen movement or shoulder movement. That’s normal when u do at first time. When you having this breath don’t push your abdomen just keep relax but when during your inhalations you may feel that the abdomen is sucking towards up. If you feel it’s hard to do this. Lie down and try. Do this for 15 times slowly. Deeply inhale and slowly exhale. This is normal breathing style.

2. Meditation---Human mind just like a Ball, when you push the ball inside the water its nature is just it will come towards up. Same way when you try to control your mind, it wan to go around. At first stage of meditation its advice to concentrate some soft music that which you like or repeating some mantra like OM, Om nama shivaya, Om Jesus. So on...or you can simple concentrate your breath. This is the first stage to get enter into the meditation. When you begin to start doing those meditation styles at first your mind may fly around just leave him where ever it go and it will back soon…

“All shastras speak but vaguely, they do not teach better than your won eyes”….It mean’s keep on practice what ever you got as a knowledge in your daily life…Just reading alone wont give you the benefits. Be good do good.. Hariom tatsat..
